Mark Hammons is Director of macauhr and Engage, the author of a standard reference book in the career consulting industry, English Resumes, and a recognized authority on personnel recruitment in Greater China. For eight years, he was a consultant to the London International Advertising Awards committee after a highly successful TV and print advertising career (Ogilvy, Mercedes Benz). Mark founded Vitae, which provides resume writing, interview coaching and career consulting services to organizations in Greater China.

Mark is heavily involved in public communication projects. He helped launch Taiwan’s first English-language news program and a bilingual regional TIME Inc. publication. He frequently lectures on human relations topics for corporate and university audiences.

Mark graduated from the University of Virginia as well as the former Stanford University Chinese program in Taipei. He is the only member in the region of the Professional Association of Resume Writers. Fluent in English and Chinese, Mark was at one time a translator for the Presidential Office in Taiwan.

Cathy earned an associates degree in business (marketing and management) in three years at Caritas Bianchi College and is an associate member of the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management. She is fluent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin and has some proficiency in Spanish.

Carmen Adelia Pereira is corporate service manager of macauhr and fully equipped to help companies manage their labor and public relations. As corporate paralegal in a prominent law office in Macau, she formulated corporate responses to issues of labor law. She was a lead assistant in a seminar on civil and municipal affairs in Macau. Carmen developed human relations expertise as supervisor of public relations and labor recruitment for the StarWorld Macau hotel/casino complex.

Specialization

As corporate service manager, Carmen advises clients on labor law, corporate personnel responsibilities and other workplace human relations issues. She understands the impact of these issues on corporate public relations.

Carmen has a bachelors degree in public administration from Macau Polytechnic Institute, where she was a scholarship student. An active volunteer in the East Asian Games regional event, she speaks Portuguese, Cantonese, English and Mandarin.

Chan Lai “Cherry” Ieng’s years of language studies and interaction with global companies prepared her to be macauhr’s public relations and sales executive. In a sales position with a five-star hotel in Macau, Cherry solicited conference business clients and then worked to ensure successful conference experiences. Her administrative and linguistic skills built client trust, to the mutual benefit of conferees and hotel management. The same rapport marks her relationships with macauhr clients and media/public contacts.
